This week we hosted Penny Murray from the ubiquitous Sicilian winemakers Planeta for a trade lunch and wine dinner at our Hove restaurant.
Our Head Chef Jamie Halsall designed a six course tasting menu to pair with each of the fantastic Planeta wines provided by Enotria & Coe, giving our lucky customers a gastronomic flight that will be remembered long in the memory!

Very proud to see our Vine Street restaurant in Brighton’s North Laine receiving a rave review in the Sunday Telegraph today. It’s been a long time coming to get some national press so nice to see all our hard work starting to pay off!
Kathryn Flett loved her Sunday lunch visit and said our smoked haddock arancino with saffron aioli and pickled sultanas was “texturally and taste-wise easily the best arancino I’ve had this decade” which is high praise indeed!
She also enjoyed our open kitchen, counter dining layout, loving that “the food is cooked right there next to you quietly and unfussily in a non-suffocatingly-hipster manner that demonstrates only passion and professionalism; the service is impeccable, the room is cool and relaxed – and relaxing“.

In a recent interview for Global Entrepreneur Week with Focused For Business, our founder David Toscano told the story of how he slowly built up Cin Cin from a vintage Fiat street food van doing events around the UK and found the confidence to quit his job in law to make it as a restauranteur. With two restaurants in Brighton and Hove, David is happy to share what he has learned along the way.
David talks about the long road to building a business idea, the multitude of little risks he had to take before taking the plunge full time and his tips for anyone planning a start up.
David said “If you are going to start a business, make sure there is something within it you are passionate about. That passion will drive you through fatigue, disappointment, and little failures while also making success all the more sweet as you’ll have created something you can be proud of. And isn’t that why we become entrepreneurs in the first place?!”
