Our Head Chef Jamie Halsall hosts masterclass fundraiser for Brighton Community Kitchen

This May, our head chef Jamie Halsall will be hosting a masterclass on Italian cooking at Brighton Community Kitchen to raise funds for their community cooking classes.

Run by the Brighton and Hove Food Partnership, the Community Kitchen uses profits raised from their cookery classes to support their community cookery activities – where everyone can experience the benefits of cooking and eating together, regardless of finance, confidence or ability.

Jamie has generously donated his time for this class – which is now SOLD OUT – with funds raised to be used to run an autumn ‘Cooking on a Budget’ course for people on low incomes and benefits – one of their most popular and valued community courses.

Jamie was also the first Brighton chef to lead a class in the Community Kitchen during their launch in May 2018, so it feels right for him to return for their first anniversary.

For those lucky enough to secure a place at this masterclass, Jamie will share his knowhow behind his sensational, seasonal Italian cooking, creating a menu of:

Roasted asparagus, bagna cauda (anchovy sauce), focaccia crumb
Gnocchi Sardi, sausage and courgette ragu
