After more than three and a half years of Cin Cin Fitzrovia, Cin Cin Fitzrovia closed on Friday 11th October.
A lot has changed since opening in 2021, having completed the fit out during the last COVID lockdown, and so having received a fair offer for our little restaurant we feel now is the right time to consolidate our efforts and get back some headspace to work on the new projects we have been sketching out while trying to run two busy sites in two cities.
We are of course sad to be passing the restaurant on and to be leaving the wonderful community of Fitzrovia who made us feel so welcome, but we are also proud of what we have created and excited for the next chapter for Cin Cin.
We would like to thank all the staff who helped us build a following at Foley Street, especially the current staff who have been so understanding of this decision which obviously affects them too. Also massive thanks to our families who have supported us through this journey.
And to all the customers who came and gave us support and love, grazie mille. We hope you can pay us a last visit in our final week and if not, you can find us both more regularly at Cin Cin Hove.

On the 13th June guests witnessed a legendary cook off between two of Brighton’s favourite restaurants in a Battle Royale between us and Lucky Khao in the ultimate event of Noodle vs. Pasta.
Brittany Hart from Restaurants Brighton popped along to the evening and wrote a brilliant piece about her evening, hosted at Lucky Khao.
“Never in my 20 years of being a Brightonian have I encountered a culinary head-to-head that was so epic, so divisive, and yet so uniting, as the Battle Royale between Cin Cin and Lucky Khao: Noodle Vs Pasta!” said Brittany.
She goes on to talk about each of the dishes and said of Round One:
“If you were going to ask me what my favourite two bites in the entire meal were…these were them, and there was absolutely no way to choose between them. Cin Cin came out swinging with a one-two punch of rich, round flavour bombs exploding with just the right amount of crunch-to-cream ratio. Spicy Lamb Ragu encapsulated in a glorious golden crunch of fried risotto, sat atop a shock of green tarragon emulsion, and topped with a grate of gloriously salty parmesan. Lucky Khao served us a smoked chicken dumpling that was so juicy and tender that the dumpling acted like a tiny little soup bowl. Ginger, lemongrass, soy-flavoured smoked chicken mince was wrapped in the most tender dumpling dough; thin, smooth and mouthwateringly memorable.”

And brace yourself for the return leg when Lucky Khao and Cin Cin go ahead to head again, this time hosted on our home turf at Western Road.
We can’t wait for this next culinary explosion as we had so much fun first time round! Exact date to be announced soon.

We are pleased to announce that this year we are supporting the incredible WOLO Foundation, a local charity on the South Coast, supporting families in practical and emotional ways through their cancer journeys.
As our charity partner of choice for 2024 we have heaps planned to raise as much as we can for this brilliant charity, who are very close to our hearts. WOLO stands for We Only Live Once and they live and breathe by this ethos everyday – “Life is a blessing and we need to enjoy it doing the things we love, with the ones we love”.
Their charity was born in 2018 and has since been supporting families affected by cancer and were there for our dear friend Rich, his wife Emma and their two beautiful girls giving them opportunities to create lasting memories together, before he passed away late last year. Their community continues to support Emma and their girls and are helping hundreds of other families affected by cancer.
As our charity partner we have committed to:
- Donating £200 a month direct from our restaurants over the next 12 months.
- Hosting a series of events to help raise vital funds and awareness of the charity, including our popular sell-out Arancino Charity Event which raised £1,720 in 2023 for The Sussex Beacon.
- Holding special events for the community WOLO supports, starting with an exclusive kids pasta Masterclass on Monday 8th April for children with cancer and for children whose lives are affected by cancer.
- Entertaining a Team WOLO dinner on Thursday 25th April for their staff and supporters to celebrate our partnership and how we can support each other through the year.
- Our founder David Toscano taking on an incredible personal challenge called ‘Ride for Rich’ cycling from London to Italy, in memory of his dear friend Rich. It’s a BIG challenge, so watch this space for news in the coming weeks and how you can support and raise money for WOLO.
We look forward to what we hope will be an incredible year for raising funds for WOLO, for all the families they support now, and for those they will in the future. Cin Cin!
